House Points
All pupils and staff are a member of a House- except Mr. Jordan who acts as the impartial referee.
At Fairlight Primary and Nursery School our Houses are named after the Oceans- linking to the theme of all of the classes being named after Sea Creatures.
The 4 Houses at Fairlight are:
- Artic- Red
- Indian- Blue
- Pacific- Yellow
- Atlantic- Green
Over the year we will run a series of events and competitions where everyone can earn house points.
At the end of every term the tokens in the House Point Containers are counted and a termly winner is announced.
The winning house then get a special prize.
HOUSE POINTS STARTING SEPTEMBER 2023
Everyone has been allocated a new House.
Over the Summer there will a selection of competitions that will give you a chance to win points for your new house when you return in September.
In September we will then be launching the new House Competitions, electing House Captains and meeting as a house.
HOUSE COMPETITION ONE
Design a logo for your new House- and all of the Houses.
The winning entry design for each house will be used as your HOUSE LOGO.
Fold a piece of A4 paper into 4.
Draw a design for each of the houses in each box.
You have been sent a PING to tell you which house you will be in and above are all of the logos and information you will need.
POINTS AWARDED: Every entry will earn 1 House Point. The winning design will be award 5 House Points.
SPECIAL RULES: Only 2 A4 entries per person. Must include your name and class on the back.
CLOSING DATE: Tuesday 5th September 2023
HOUSE COMPETITION TWO
Our new website has a space for a new design of the school name- FAIRLIGHT.
Design a new piece using this name.
Mr. Jordan has an example below of his name. You might want to do the same for the school name.
Fold a piece of A4 paper in half long ways- as the final design needs to be landscape.
You may want to just use letters or you may want to include some pictures of drawings.
Or you may want to use photography.
Or something else.
POINTS AWARDED: Every entry will earn 1 House Point. The winning design will be award 5 House Points.
SPECIAL RULES: Only 2 A4 entries per person (so 4 designs). Must include your name and class on the back.
